Kate Galea

Kate Galea, born in London, studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martin's University of the Arts and The University of Reading in England. She moved to Sydney with her wife in 2011 and they now call Redfern home after spending three happy years driving around Australia.

Her work is intended to bring joy and colour into peoples homes through the geometric shapes and patterns that travel through the pictures. Primarily abstract, hard-edged and reductive, her art is inspired by architecture, cityscapes and forgotten spaces.
